Description
On April 9, the consortium of the European POLARIS project gathered in Santander at the premises of IHCantabria, the project coordinator, for the official kick-off meeting.
Project partners — CEDRE (France), METEO-France (France), SASEMAR (Spain), AZTI (Spain) and the Norwegian Coastal Administration – Kystverket (Norway) — took part in this first working meeting dedicated to the operational launch of the project.
The meeting provided an opportunity to review the objectives of POLARIS, present the different actions to be carried out over the next two years, and foster a collective dynamic among the European partners involved in the project.
A few days later, on April 16, IHCantabria travelled to Brussels to officially present the POLARIS project to the European Commission during the kick-off meeting organised by DG ECHO.
The project is now fully underway.
