Task 07 is one of the main important tasks of the project, which is designed to upgrade the communication tool-Decision Support System (DSS) developed within the framework of the past BE-READY project under the banner of EU DG-ECHO with the same partners of PROMPT’s consortium.
Task 07 is one of the main important tasks of the project, which is designed to upgrade the communication tool-Decision Support System (DSS) developed within the framework of the past BE-READY project under the banner of EU DG-ECHO with the same partners of PROMPT’s consortium. The team will extend and update the DSS with the new features developed in the previous activities such as activity 01 through 05 of PROMPT as published before.
The most difficult part of the task, i.e. the design and the validation of the tool have been already carried out in a previous project. In this task it will be possible to collect feedback from the users of the first version to make the system more user-friendly and intelligible.
Furthermore, it will be necessary to integrate the new detection and tracking tools with the existing architecture in order to render the system robust and that the different modules can efficiently operate among themselves. A reference manual of the updated version of the DSS will be prepared to show in detail the functionality of the system and to introduce the users to the system.
In conclusion, under this task, the team will upgrade the communication tool-Decision Support System (DSS) developed under the framework of the previous project BE-READY DG-ECHO. The team will extend and update the DSS with PROMPT new features developed in the previous activities such as activity 01 through 05 as published before. This task is designed to make the software system more user-friendly and smart enough, and most importantly integrate the innovative action of the project i.e. detection and tracking tools with the use of satellites. An updated reference manual will be prepared as the end-user's guide.
