The ToT aimed to prepare EU MODEX CTs of all Lots to effectively fulfil their roles, tasks, and responsibilities. The programme of the training evolved around the main roles and skills of a CT in the EU MODEX including transversal skills such as ‘intercultural communication’ and ‘dealing with challenging situations’.
The programme of the face-to-face ToT evolved around the main roles and skills of a CT in the EU MODEX. Therefore, the roles Preparation, Observation, Analysis of performance, Recording, Coaching, Training & Feedback were central in the course, and specific skills, such as ‘intercultural communication’ ‘dealing with challenging situations’ were added as sessions to further develop knowledge and understanding of these important areas. Based on feedback from previous TOT courses, the intention was to have fewer formal presentations and allow more time for discussion, and to practise the main role requirements when undertaking the role.
