NAMIRS publishes Oil Spill Environmental Risk Assessment report

NAMIRS consortium's latest work provides an extensive environmental risk assessment of Oil spills, a fundamental step for the revision and update of the Sub- regional Contingency Plan for the Adriatic Sea, allowing to understand and identify the different risks to which the Adriatic coast and sea are exposed and help to plan mitigation and intervention measures when needed.

The most ambitious development of this Risk Assessment report would be to enlarge its application to the entire Adriatic Sea and beyond. Disasters have no borders and particularly on sea. Further cross-border cooperation in this field is of the utmost importance.
