Centre de Documentation de Recherches et d'Experimentation sur les pollutions accidentelles..(CEDRE)

Description

An international expert in accidental water pollution organized around five activities: intervention support, planning, training, analysis and testing, research. We are also a recognized documentary resource centre.

Providing advice and expertise to French or foreign authorities and private structures in charge of the anti-pollution response: this is our raison d'être.

Since 2014, we have also been mandated by the Ministry of Ecology to animate the monitoring network of macro-waste and microplastics in coastal sediments.

Three strong values have driven our teams for nearly 40 years:

  • Expertise: over the years, we capitalize on knowledge and know-how in the field of accidental water pollution thanks to our field experience, our scientific competence and the efficient collection of information
  • Responsiveness: our teams are proactive on a daily basis regarding the needs and requests of our partners and customers, but they are also able to respond qualitatively to urgent requests
  • Environmental protection: from upstream preparation to post-accident recovery, our action always aims to minimize environmental impacts by taking into account the protection of people and economic aspects.
