Description
CETMAR is a public foundation that works for the improvement of the marine environment, its resources and all the sectors that live from it, promoting innovation and environmental, social and economic sustainability.
Its creation, in 2001, was an initiative of the Xunta de Galicia and the then Ministry of Science and Innovation, which decided to launch an institution to, among other objectives, guide the maritime-fishing sector, research centers and the administration in the common path of R + D + I.
CETMAR develops its activity at the local, national, European and international levels, being beneficiaries of its actions the sectors of the public or private sphere related to the sea, its resources and the marine environment in general.
