On civil emergency preparedness and strategies

Through the Department of Civil Emergency Preparedness and Strategies, the Ministry of Interior-DG Fire Rescue Service of the Czech Republic focuses on the development of international cooperation with other states, especially within the European Union, the North Atlantic Treaty Organization and other international organizations in areas related to civil protection, civil emergency planning and critical infrastructure protection.

At the national level, the Civil Emergency Preparedness and Strategy Department acts as the secretariat of the Civil Emergency Planning Committee, which is the permanent working body of the State Security Council in the field of civil emergency planning. The Department of Civil Emergency Preparedness and Strategies ensures the preparation and processing of strategic and conceptual materials of the Fire Rescue Service of the Czech Republic and participates in other documents of the Czech Republic created within the Ministry of the Interior of the Czech Republic, central administrative offices and regional authorities that affect the competence of the Fire Rescue Service of the Czech Republic. It also supports activities related to security research and development in the Czech Republic. In addition, it organizes professional conferences, seminars and instructional methodological jobs in the field of civil emergency preparedness.
