Description
RISE is an independent, state-owned research institute. Our mission is to promote sustainable growth in Sweden by strengthening the competitiveness and renewal of the business sector and contributing to an innovative development of society.
Our mission is presented in the Government's proposals for research and innovation:
"The overall goal of rise institutes is that they should be internationally competitive and promote sustainable growth in Sweden by strengthening the competitiveness and renewal of the business sector, as well as promoting public sector renewal and ability to contribute to solutions to society's challenges together with industry"
The assignment is specified in our ownership instructions and in the various goals we receive from our owner and our board of directors. The owner's instructions and our mission goals emphasize, among other things, the importance of:
- conducts high-quality research
- promotes and develops collaborations between academia, industry and the public sector
- supports innovative development in smes
- operates test and demonstration facilities of high relevance to the business community
