Estonian security starts at the Estonian Academy of Security Sciences. This is a school for future and already working rescuers and rescue managers, policemen and border guards, prison officers, tax and customs officers, as well as a researcher in the field of internal security.

The Estonian Academy of Security Sciences is a unique educational institution all over the world, because the entire study of internal security in the country is concentrated in one organization. At the same time, the Academy offers studies at the bachelor's and master's level of vocational education, professional higher education at the bachelor's and master's level, in parallel with professional research, development and innovation activities and in-service training. The Academy also organises pre-training in upper secondary schools in the field of internal defence. The vision of the Estonian Academy of Security Sciences is to become the best study and research centre for internal security in Europe by 2025.
