Description
The Protection and Rescue Administration shall be a body composed of the Ministry of Defence, which carries out administrative and professional tasks of protection, resolution and assistance.
The tasks shall relate to the regulation, preparation and operation of the system of protection against natural and other disasters, assistance to the affected local communities, observation, information and alarm, communications and information system, assessment of damage caused by natural and other disasters, fire protection and the operation of the general emergency services, the organisation and operation of Civil Protection and the preparation and operation of the Civil Protection Staff, the preparation and implementation of national programmes in the field of protection against natural and other disasters, the resolution and resolution and remediation of the consequences of disasters.
In carrying out the tasks of protection, rescue and assistance in the event of natural and other disasters, he cooperates with the Slovenian army, police and other departments. It shall lead, coordinate and implement the country's international security and resolution activities at bilateral and multilateral level.
