Overview

Description

The project will integrate ecosystem-based approaches into disaster risk management policies and strategies, and mainstream those approaches at local, regional and national levels. The project will provide a starting point for a paradigm shift in the disaster risk management system of Türkiye to an ecosystem-based approach to improve the knowledge base and facilitate sharing of good practices on the connection between the restoration of ecosystem and nature-based solutions and disaster prevention and preparedness. It will also generate evidence and knowledge for improved policy and practice on disaster prevention and preparedness planning, climate resilience and the green transition. The project also aims to contribute to new policies, strategies and long-term development and investment plans for anticipating and managing current and future risks.
