Description

The PLUTUS project aims to address some challenges the Belgian civil protection authorities and other EU member states/ the Union Civil Protection Mechanism's participating states face, when it comes to accessing and implementing funding for disaster risk management initiatives.

Through comprehensive research and analysis, the main different funding possibilities and the existing obstacles that hinder the smooth and efficient implementation of such initiatives, will be assessed. The project will, furthermore, gather insights into successful approaches and strategies employed by participating states that have effectively aligned their national procedures with EU procedures.

Based on the gathered information, we will create comprehensive guidelines that act as tools for overcoming funding constraints. These guidelines will facilitate easier access to grants and resources, ultimately strengthening disaster risk management capabilities and enhancing overall effectiveness in this area.

By sharing knowledge, providing policy recommendations, and disseminating findings, the project aims to create awareness, improve funding opportunities, and enhance the overall effectiveness of disaster risk management efforts both for Belgian civil protection authorities and other participating states.
