Description

This half-day event will focus on global challenges such as food and water security as well as urban floods and how Earth Observation data, Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning technologies can help mitigate the impacts of climate change. In particular, it will provide an outlook on how the CENTAUR Horizon Europe project plans to strengthen and expand the Copernicus Emergency Management Service (CEMS) and Copernicus Security Service - Support to EU External and Security Actions (CSS-SESA) product portfolios in this realm.

It will take place on Zoom on 21 November from 9:00 to 12:30 (CET), in English, and the registration is mandatory.

About CENTAUR

The CENTAUR Horizon Europe project is the result of a call focussed on the evolution of the Copernicus services targeting the development of new service components for the Copernicus Emergency Management Service (CEMS) and Copernicus Security Service - Support to EU External and Security Actions (CSS-SESA). It aims to improve situational awareness and anticipatory activities related to crisis events with the ultimate goal of strengthening resilience and adaptation to climate change.
