About the COLLARIS Network

The COLLARIS Network gathers crisis management and civil protection practitioners, research institutions and public administration interested in collecting and transferring knowledge, exchanging experiences, skills, good practices and information on operational procedures for the optimal use of drones in crisis management and rescue missions.

Our aim is to effectively stimulate a wider and more complex use of UAS by facilitating sharing of lessons learnt from the adoption of innovative solutions and their absorption into operational practices. Another goal is delivering knowledge and recommendations supporting the development and implementation of systemic solutions which represent enablers for efficient use of UAS.

Webinar Details

To this end, we would like to invite you to a webinar presenting the findings of a study conducted within the project, exploring how drone technology is adopted and used in crisis and disaster management. The purpose is to understand how professional full-time, part-time, and volunteer crisis and disaster management organizations make decisions about drone deployment, what organizational factors enable or hinder implementation, and how resources shape operational routines. The report compares two national use cases, Austria and Sweden, to identify patterns that may inform learning across civil protection systems.
