Description

The CEMS Annual Conference 2023 will take place under the banner of "Integrating Disaster Risk Data in Policy". During the morning sessions experts from the JRC will demonstrate how CEMS has been used to deliver early-warning and monitoring in the face of different hazards, such as floods, wildfires and droughts. Attendees will also learn about cooperation and collaboration with EU DGs as well as member and participating states.

These informational sessions will be followed in the afternoon by five practical sessions where participants can gain insights on how to use CEMS dashboards. Some of these sessions cover specific hazards while others concern themselves with more general approaches to geospatial data in disaster management.

No registration is necessary for the morning webstreaming sessions. Registration for the afternoon sessions closes on 1 October 2023.
