Description
Large scale incidents, regardless of their nature, present some common challenges that can be addressed through procedural and technological innovation. These include the integration of multiple agencies (interoperability) and the integration of spontaneous volunteers into operational structures.
Inspired by the INSARAG community, the DARE project seeks to address these challenges by co-developing a set of ‘capability descriptions’, based on operational procedures for wildfire and flood resources. Together with a catalogue of different Command and Control Structures across Europe, these procedures will be made available in an open-source Dashboard, which will allow for the digital sharing of incident information between involved stakeholders. In addition, DARE is developing an AI-based match-making application, VolunTinder, which will facilitate incident command posts with dedicated tasks for spontaneous volunteers.
This webinar will provide an overview of the solutions being developed and give participants the option to explore them interactively. In line with our co-development methodology, this feedback will then be used to inform the next development cycles.
