Description
Flood response will be tested in a complex scenario during this LOT2 EU MODEX Sibiu field exercise that will take place in Romania from October 13–16, 2022. The scenario will involve many communities being flooded or entirely cut off, and emergency intervention operations will be required. Participating modules from five countries will put their skills to the test and jointly cooperate in a scenario of significant flooding in an EU nation.
This is the second exercise conducted by EU MODEX and the aim of this module field exercises is to give the opportunity to water related modules and teams to have a functional exercise at European level according to Union Civil Protection policies and procedures.
This European Civil Protection field exercise will be organized close to the city of Sibiu, Sibiu County, in Romania, by the Department for Emergency Situation – General Inspectorate for Emergency Situation within the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Romania, with the support of Sibiu County Inspectorate for Emergency Situations.
