Description
As coordinator of the COVALEX project, the University of A Coruña is hosting an event that addresses the key issues of Risks in hydro-meteorological emergencies in water phenomena such as cold drops or atmospheric rivers, derived from Climate Change and explores good practices in the exchange and management of emergencies and protocols by different organisations, such as Civil Protection of the association of municipalities of Ferrolterra, AXEGA "Galician Agency of emergencies" the regional 112, Maritime Rescue... This event aims to facilitate an open dialogue, engage diverse stakeholders, target practical solutions and Contribute to COVALEX's Goals.
During these two days we will carry out different activities such as a Flood Simulation in the municipal district of Ferrol Terra; a Hackathon, an event in which students and partners of Covalex will participate; round tables, conferences... All this in order to bring together experts and stakeholders in the field of emergency to discuss and reflect on good practices and innovation in the area of water-themed emergencies
