Next edition of the International Conference on Forest Fire Research and related events will take place in Coimbra, Portugal, on 11-18 November 2022.
The IX edition of the International Conference on Forest Fire Research and related events will take place in Coimbra, Portugal, on 11-18 November 2022. There will be six major themes, with several sub-topics. Themes will mainly concern Fire at the Wildland Urban Interface, Fire Risk Management, Decision Support Systems and Tools, Fire Management, Fuel Management and Socio Economic Issues.
Since the first edition of the Conference in 1990, the International Conference on Forest Fire Research (ICFFR) aims to provide an up to date on the developments in forest fire science and technology. Furthermore, this IX edition is also an opportunity to meet again persons and institutions face-to-face, for promoting international cooperation in research and management area.
In addition to the six main themes, two more courses, the VI Short Course on Fire Safety and the IX Short Course on Forest Fire Behaviour, will be held before the Conference, as related but separate events.
The Conference and its temporary programme is targeted to authors, attendants, exhibitors or sponsors, participating at the Conference, but it is open also for all those who are interested in forest fire research and forest management in general.
The definitive version of the programme will be released before 10 October 2022.
Please note that the organisers charge registration fees, which will include: attendance to all Conference sessions, welcome cocktail, banquet, coffee breaks and lunches during the Conference, Conference Proceedings, Papers and documentation.
