Description
As global conflicts continue to rise, there is a growing need for better data and analytics to improve anticipation and early warning capacities as a basis for successful conflict prevention. In response to this need, this course is designed to familiarise users to various conflict analysis tools available on the Science4Peace portal.
The Science4Peace portal includes dedicated pages and updated features for the Global Conflict Risk Index (GCRI), the Dynamic Conflict Risk Model (DCRM), the Conflict Event Trends (CET) monitoring based on data from the Armed Conflict Location & Event Data Project (ACLED), the Global Crisis Atlas (GCA) giving access to a wide range of maps and Country Profiles that combine essential data from GCRI, DCRM, CET and GCA into a single overview. In this interactive session, participants will learn about these conflict analysis tools, test the portal’s features and ask any questions that might come up in the process.
