The Nicosia Risk Forum 2022, planned for on 15-16 November 2022, will bring together scientists, Policy-makers, Practitioners, Citizens, DG ECHO speakers, high-level stakeholders and many more participants for focusing on Disaster Management Challenges and Solutions in the Era of Climate Crisis.
Special guest: Mr. Christos Stylianides, Minister of Climate Crisis and Civil Protection of Greece.

Who is the organiser?
The event is organised by CERIDES: Center of Excellence in Risk and Decision Sciences (CERIDES), the first cross-disciplinary Center of Excellence of European University Cyprus Center. CERIDES has emerged from the synergies identified between the Center for Risk, Safety and the Environment (CERISE), and the Decision Support and Systems Optimization (DSSO) Laboratory. It operates under the supervision of European University Cyprus.
CERIDES focus revolves around the development, use, and evaluation of quantitative and qualitative methods to measure, assess, manage, and communicate risk, and to analyze, design, and implement decision-making mechanisms and systems. Two pillars compose CERIDES: risk and decision science, with an application to several horizontal areas such as Security, Safety, Cybersecurity, Telecommunications, Critical Infrastructure Protection, and Industrial Processes.
CERIDES – Excellence in Innovation and Technology has obtained over €4 Million (March 2020) in Horizon 2020, FP7, DG ECHO, DG HOME, DG Justice, ERASMUS+, Norwegian Grants, Cyprus Research and Innovation Council funded projects.
