Description

This workshop builds on the wealth of experience of Northeast Asian countries in earthquake risk reduction and aims to share expertise in the field with the participants. Sharing effective practices from Japan, Chia and the Republic of Korea the participants will gain insights on technology applications, measures to increase the resilience of infrastructure and risk-informed recovery and build-back-better approaches.

The webinar is organised based on the outcomes of the Trilateral Meetings on Disaster Management of the relevant ministries of Japan, China and the Republic of Korea from 2017 to 2019.

The session aims to increase participant's understanding of existing tools, technologies and effective practices for earthquake risk reduction, early warning, resilience measures, and sustainable recovery. Through the event, collaboration for capacity development between Northeast Asia and other countries shall also be promoted.
