Description
#Apell-EuroModex has organised in Lisbon, Portugal, the Pre Exercise Planning Meeting, to prepare the EU MODEX exercise related to forest fires which will take place between 2nd to 6th of May 2023.
During the meeting the scenario was finalized, the working sites validated and the challenges were planned for the incoming international modules.
Thanks to our hosts, Autoridade Nacional de Emergência e Proteção Civil Portugal for all the support and work done so far.
We are looking forward to meeting them again in May to provide the best testing environments for the UCPM modules attending the exercise.

At the same time, our thoughts are with people from Türkiye and Siria affected by the earthquake. Even though some of the experts involved in our exercises are deployed in Türkiye, offering assistance in the earthquake affected areas, the training continues. We are convinced that EU MODEX exercises are the best platform to prepare the modules for international deployments, to increase their capabilities , but also to share their knowledge and experience.
