We are pleased to invite you to the PROMPT Final International Meeting, where we will present the project’s achievements, tools, and impacts in enhancing preparedness for marine pollution in EU and neighboring ports.

Highlights:

  • Presentation of key outputs: Dispersion models for pollutants, oil spill detection algorithms, and floating container tracking tools.
  • Showcase of the upgraded Decision Support System (DSS).
  • Insights into risk assessment and mitigation strategies for marine ecosystems.
  • Networking with stakeholders from ports, research institutions, and environmental agencies.

Project Snapshot:

  • Funded by: EU Union Civil Protection Mechanism (UCPM) (85% co-funded).
  • Duration: January 2023 – June 2025.
  • Intervention Areas: Genoa Port (Italy), Tripoli Port (Lebanon), Aqaba Port (Jordan).
  • Goal: Marine innovative tools to prevent pollution and containers lost in the sea for human and biodiversity protection.
