Description
The aim of the information day is to familiarise potential applicants with the Technical Assistance for Disaster Risk Management “Track 1” (UCPM-2024-TRACK 1) call for proposals and to provide useful guidance on the preparation of applications for this call.
The 2024 Technical Assistance for Disaster Risk Management (Track 1) call for proposals was published on 23 January on the Commission’s Funding & tender opportunities portal. It opened for submissions on 1 February, with the application deadline set for 9 April.
With a total budget of EUR 6 million, the call invites proposals from eligible countries, including EU Member States and UCPM Participating States.
The Technical Assistance for Disaster Risk Management funding instrument provides financial support (with a rate of EU co-financing of 95%) to the national disaster risk management authorities for the development of strategic activities (including feasibility studies, proposals, policies and plans), which can leverage investments for greater disaster risk management impact.

Participation
The information day is intended for representatives of national disaster risk management authorities of eligible countries:
- EU Member States (including overseas countries and territories (OCTs));
- UCPM participating states: Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Iceland, the Republic of Moldova, Montenegro, North Macedonia, Norway, Serbia, Türkiye, Ukraine;
- and other countries: Georgia and Kosovo1 , in view of their ongoing efforts to join the UCPM.
