COVALEX welcomes everyone interested to join us in our second Webinar: “The role of volunteers in civil protection: protocols and case studies” that will take place on October 31nd at 11.00 CET.

· The first part of the event will focus on the role, protocols, communication and management of volunteers in Greece, followed by a open discussion of practices used by other partner organizations. 
· A second part will include an analysis of case studies in Spain. 
· Lastly, the final section will focus on the use and involvement of volunteers in real incidents.

This new webinar has been organised by the team of the General Secretariat of Civil Protection of Greece (GSCP) with speakers such as P. Gkagkari and P. Karamoustou, head and officer of the Civil Protection Volunteerism Department, Santiago Troitiño, Daniel Lorenzo as well as multiple members of the Spanish Civil Protection, Vasilis Karalis, Director of the Department of Civil Protection, and Evaggelos Aggelopoulos, member of the Natural Disasters Department of the GSCP.
Spiros Nikolaou, from the European Relations Department of the GSCP, will be the moderator of the event.
