Description
The year 2022 marks the European Year of Youth. In this context, the Union Civil Protection Knowledge Network organises a dedicated networking event targeting young people (18-35 years old) from the Member and Participating States of the Union Civil Protection Mechanism (UCPM), interested in and/or professionally involved in civil protection and disaster risk management.
The event would take the form of a 2-day study visit to Brussels for up to two (2) representatives per country (nominated by their respective national civil protection authorities). The study visit will combine a series of hands-on and interactive sessions presenting different lines of work in the area of civil protection and disaster risk management, a visit to the ERCC, as well as networking opportunities among the participants and with other established members of the community.
The event aims at promoting and developing knowledge of the UCPM and a greater understanding of the European dimension of civil protection, as well as enabling an inclusive community, offering peer support and cooperation beyond formal structures.
