The webinar access link will be shared with registered participants closer to the event date.
Youth programmes, and in particular the European Solidarity Corps, can play a meaningful role in strengthening preparedness at community level - without taking part in professional emergency response systems.
To explore this potential, we invite you to a two-part webinar series: Youth Volunteering & Preparedness - Building Bridges between European Solidarity Corps and Civil Protection.
The webinar series is jointly organised by the SALTO European Solidarity Corps Resource Centre, Directorate-General for Education, Youth, Sport and Culture (DG EAC), DG ECHO, the European Education and Culture Executive Agency (EACEA), and the Strategic National Agency Cooperation on Volunteering; the webinars aim to bring together two important groups to contribute to population preparedness:
By fostering mutual understanding, showcasing good practice and clarifying programme requirements, the series supports, in line with the European Preparedness Union Strategy, a whole-of-society approach to preparedness and may open doors to cross-sector cooperation.
Objectives of the webinars:
Webinar 1: The contribution of youth volunteering to resilience and the European Preparedness Strategy. Focus: policy context, programme perspective and concrete project examples.
Date: 22 January, from 14.30 to 16.00 CET
Webinar 2: Youth Volunteering and Civil Protection: Practices & funding opportunities within the European Solidarity Corps. Focus: cooperation models, clarify technical and procedural requirements to access funding, including Quality Label requirements and application procedures to access funding.
Date: 19 of February, from 14.30 to 16.00 CET
