The medals for long-standing committment to the UCPM may be awarded under two different subcategories. The nominees shall fullfill the following award criteria.
Long-standing commitment to preparedness and prevention under the UCPM:
- The recipient has a history of professional commitment and participation to preparedness and prevention activities;
- The recipient has given substantial input to preparedness and prevention activities since at least 21 March 20191;
- The recipient has proven particular affiliation to EU values in practice, while performing the required duties;
- The recipient fostered a culture of prevention and promoted cooperation and coordinated activities at cross-border level.
Long-standing commitment to response under the UCPM:
- The recipient has been deployed on at least three occasions in response operations under the UCPM since 21 March 2019;
- The recipient has a history of professional commitment and participation to UCPM operations.
