This academic technical paper examining decontamination and on-scene hygiene requirements for German fire services. It analyses legal, operational and occupational safety frameworks governing CBRN incidents as well as routine fire and technical rescue operations. The study focuses on combining limited-scale CBRN decontamination capabilities with general fireground hygiene measures within a single vehicle concept. It reviews existing federal, state and municipal vehicle models before developing a preliminary concept for a universal decontamination vehicle. The objective is to propose a practical and standard-compliant vehicle configuration suitable for typical operational scenarios.
