This analysis provides an overview of concepts, current developments and gaps in the field of Climate Risk Assessments (CRAs), thus setting a baseline for further work in the CLIMAAX project. Overall, the review finds that CRAs are not consistently applied in Europe across scales, leading to a fragmented understanding of climate risks.
