The Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution (WHOI) is located in a small coastal town in southeastern Massachusetts. Along with many other communities in a similar situation, it experiences the effects of climate change in a more visible and urgent way than most. It is no wonder that it felt the pressing need for a comprehensive and collaborative approach to building resilience against sea level rise, according to this report. Working with partners, WHOI developed an action plan called Resilient Woods Hole.
