Case study

From 17 to 20 October, Venice hosted an EU MODEX, which for the first time in its history, thanks to PROCULTHER-NET and the European consortium running the exercise, included a dedicated team and one expert embedded in the EUCPT to protect cultural assets.

This paper brings us the description of the activities implemented in the field of cultural heritage at risk: the scenario, the exercise design and preparation, and the actions carried out on the field by the ‘Cultural Heritage Response Unit’ (CHRU), the German specialised team who had the opportunity to test tools, methodologies and interoperability in this real-time setting.
