EU Civil Protection Mechanism: medals awarded for extraordinary contributions
Three medals for outstanding contribution to the EU Civil Protection Mechanism (UCPM) were awarded at the EU Civil Protection Forum 2024.

- Three medals for outstanding contribution to the EU Civil Protection Mechanism (UCPM) were awarded at the EU Civil Protection Forum 2024 by the Commissioner for Crisis Management, Janez Lenarčič.
An Award Board from the Directorate General for European Civil Protection and Humanitarian Aid Operations had the difficult task of selecting extraordinary contributions from the many nominations submitted by member and participating states of the Mechanism.
Medals were awarded to:
EU Medical evacuation (‘MEDEVAC’) operation for Ukraine (Germany and Norway on behalf of the entire operation)
The Italian Civil Protection team for their contribution to the UCPM following the floods in Libya
