Bachelor's thesis

This bachelor’s thesis examines ways to improve the decontamination of injured persons in chemical, biological, radiological and nuclear (CBRN) incidents, using the casualty decontamination unit of the Braunschweig Fire Brigade as a case study. Through experimental testing with volunteers and a simulated contaminant, the study evaluates the effectiveness of current procedures, with particular attention to process optimisation and the recommended water temperature. Based on the results, practical recommendations are developed to support training and operational practice.
