Summary

In line with the recommendation from the Norwegian authorities that citizens should be prepared to be self-sufficient for one week, this guide is designed to support those who help others prepare for emergencies. It is intended for anyone who is a family member of, or works closely with, people who may not be able to care for themselves during a crisis. This includes individuals with physical or cognitive impairments, those who are not well integrated into Norwegian society, and others who may be particularly vulnerable in emergency situations. The guide is structured around three key steps: assessing needs, identifying resources and taking action.
