Introduction - Background & Event Highlight

At a recent regional forum, the United Nations Office for Disaster Risk Reduction (UNDRR) highlighted the European Disability Forum’s (EDF) "READY Baltics" project. Mari Tuulik, representing the Estonian Forum of People with Disabilities, spoke at the session "From Vulnerability to Active Citizenship: Fostering Inclusive Decision-Making Towards Just Adaptation," emphasising disability-inclusive civil protection across Estonia, Latvia, and Lithuania.

Key Points / Project Update - Scaling Up Impact Through Partnership

Scaling Up Impact Through Partnership - Through an established partnership, the UNDRR will support the rollout of the MCR2030 Disaster Resilience Scorecard Annex for the Inclusion of Persons with Disabilities across all three Baltic countries. This collaboration provides a structured framework for cities to assess and strengthen their disability-inclusive resilience planning, ensuring that disaster risk reduction leaves no one behind.
