The document highlights the importance of forests in North Macedonia and the organisational, institutional, and legal framework for the protection of forests against fires in the country. As a result, the Macedonian Forest Fire Information System was created that is explained in this document, focussing on different tools and products, such as a hot spot mal, vegetation dryness map, fire weather index map, and more.
