Statement calls for steps to prevent and mitigate the occurrence of wildfires and for a strengthening of the global capacity to prepare for and respond to wildfires when they happen. It also highlights the need to rebuild for resilience to recover from wildfires and to seek synergies with work underway at the G20. The charter is endorsed by the Leaders of Australia, India, Mexico, the Republic of Korea, and South Africa.
