CBRN hazardous substances may pose a threat to public safety and security. In order to implement appropriate tactical and technical measures during a CBRN incident, the identification of the substance forms an essential part of the reconnaissance process. Knowledge of the possible markings and classifications of hazardous substances is therefore of particular importance.
