2024 has been a significant and positive year for the preservation of heritage in Romania, despite the numerous geopolitical, economic and social challenges posed by the current international and national context.

Over the course of several years, this field has gradually evolved in a way that has enabled the country to direct its focus towards the appropriate level of attention. The purpose of this article is to emphasise two aspects that are considered to be extremely relevant for the future of the activity, and which are poised to act as notable turning points.
