The LOCAL-DRM project strengthened disaster risk management and financial preparedness capacities across all 61 municipalities and 12 prefectures of Albania. Implemented under DG ECHO’s UCPM-2023-TRACK1-IBA, the project supported local authorities through targeted trainings, workshops, and awareness activities coordinated by the National Civil Protection Agency.
Key results:
• 11 trainings held with over 750 participants from municipalities and prefectures.
• 14 awareness and communication materials produced and disseminated.
• 2 national events organised to promote disaster preparedness and knowledge sharing.
• Strong alignment with the EU Civil Protection Mechanism’s priorities for prevention and preparedness.Duration: January 2024 – June 2025.
