Strengthening Responder Technology in Disasters

This Policy Brief calls for a proactive, capability-driven approach to strengthen the preparedness of Europe’s emergency responders. Developed by more than 200 organisations across 17 projects in the Responder Technology Cluster, it outlines the policy, legislative, financial and standardisation measures needed to ensure that innovative technological and organisational solutions can be effectively developed, deployed and scaled. Its recommendations support EU priorities on resilience, technological sovereignty and disaster risk reduction, helping align research, policy and operational practice to better address current and future crises.
