The training for professionals dealing with requesting or receiving aerial firefighting assistance through the UCPM is available in the e-learning platform. To help prepare for the forest fire season ahead, this course focuses on strategic issues
The course on aerial forest firefighting capacities consists of the following three lessons:
- Being prepared to host Aerial Forest Firefighting (AFFF) capacities.
- Requesting Aerial Forest Firefighting (AFFF) capacities.
- Response phase with Aerial Forest Firefighting (AFFF) capacities.
Audience
Its primary audience is staff involved in aerial forest firefighting preparedness and response phases:
- National Authorities staff in charge of the Technical Assistance (TA) preparedness phase,
- CECIS end-users / National Operational Centres / National ERCC counterparts,
- authorities that will organize the Host Nation Support (HNS), and
- authorities that will be in charge of the Aerial Forest Firefighting (AFFF)
