Reaching the three-quarter mark of its timeline, the AHEAD project completed a three-day workshop at Politecnico di Milano and JRC Ispra. Entering this key stage, the project focuses on delivering an engineered Information System to collect and analyse post-disaster damage and loss data, providing European civil protection authorities with an enhanced data-driven tool.
Milano & Ispra – As the AHEAD project enters its final quarter, the project team recently completed an intensive three-day workshop. The meeting brought together consortium partners and researchers to review technical progress, assess national testbed developments, and align efforts toward the final project deliverables.
The primary focus of the project remains delivering an engineered Information System (IS) dedicated to collecting and analysing post-disaster damage and loss data across Europe. Supported by EU funding under the Union Civil Protection Mechanism, this shared instrument aims to provide civil protection authorities and disaster risk management practitioners with enhanced, data-driven capabilities.
