Audits of civil protection grant beneficiaries

The webinar covered the objectives of a DG ECHO audit on civil protection grants, the audit process and what is expected from beneficiaries and auditors, all of which is explained in the note released in August 2022 – available at the below link ‘General information on audits of the EU Civil Protection Grant Beneficiaries’. The webinar also highlighted lessons from most common errors from previous audits. This information session was intended for civil protection grant beneficiaries to better address the audit process and auditors’ expectations and to help avoid recoveries years after a project closes. Basic information on reporting of fraud cases was also provided during the presentation – available at the link below.

The webinar was attended by nearly 100 participants from Prevention and preparedness, Network Partnership and Exercises projects. The Questions & Answers session was very lively, with many questions on the form and on substance – these questions and their respective answers are available in the document below.
