On 23–24 September, BEAVER partners met in Vilanova i la Geltrú for a two-day co-creation workshop focused on strengthening community preparedness and climate resilience. The meeting brought together partners from Italy, Spain and Portugal to exchange experiences, identify practical approaches and shape the next steps of the project, while also fostering dialogue with other EU-funded initiatives.
The workshop brought together BEAVER consortium partners from Vilanova i la Geltrú, Oeiras and Tuscany, including ANCI Toscana, Regione Toscana, ProGeCom, ENT and the municipalities of Vaglia and Montespertoli, which participate as associated partners. Partners exchanged experiences and best practices on citizen participation, risk communication and climate adaptation, with contributions from Catalonia, Livorno and Oeiras. The meeting also offered an opportunity to learn from other European initiatives: CONFAVC presented A-porta, its community-based door-to-door approach involving trained local residents as trusted points of contact, while the Pau Costa Foundation, lead partner of the EU-funded ODET project, joined the exchange on wildfire preparedness and community resilience. These exchanges will contribute to the development of BEAVER’s Resilience Proximity Laboratories and future pilot actions.
