The 9th European Civil Protection Forum will take place on 3–4 November 2026 in Brussels (Tour & Taxis), bringing together stakeholders from across the disaster risk management community to shape the future of preparedness in Europe. The call for session proposals for the upcoming edition is now open!
As preparations for the Forum advance, contributions from the community are essential to building a strong and relevant agenda. Stakeholders are invited to submit proposals for sessions they would like to organise as part of the programme.
The Forum will focus on how preparedness can be strengthened in an increasingly complex risk landscape, in line with the shift towards a more anticipatory, integrated and resilience-based approach promoted by the Preparedness Union Strategy.
Proposed sessions should align with one of the three thematic axes:
Sessions can take the form of panel discussions or participatory workshops, with facilitation support available for interactive formats. Proposals are encouraged to reflect cross-sectoral perspectives and, where possible, involve partners from different organisations, including those beyond the civil protection community.
The Forum will provide a platform for knowledge exchange, innovation and collaboration, with a strong emphasis on translating policy priorities into concrete action and strengthening cooperation across sectors and actors.
