The European Commission’s Final Report on the Citizens’ Engagement Platform debate on Preparedness is now available.

The European Commission has now published the Final Report on the Citizens’ Engagement Platform debate on Preparedness. Between January and June 2026, citizens across Europe were invited to share their ideas online on how the EU and its Member States can better anticipate, prepare for and respond to future crises through the Citizens’ Engagement Platform. The debate generated 357 contributions and 69 comments, covering issues ranging from education and community resilience to crisis communication, critical infrastructure, climate risks and security. The engagement platform debate ran in parallel to the Citizens' Panel on Preparedness (the Citizen’s Report on that will be published separately before the end of year)
