CLIMAAX First Open Call for Regions and Communities

The CLIMAAX consortium has launched the first Open Call for regions and communities to implement the CLIMAAX methodological framework and the supporting Climate Risk Assessment (CRA) toolbox to carry out their regional and local multi-risk assessments.

CLIMAAX consortium invites regions and communities to apply for its Open Call, offering up to EUR 300,000 funding for climate multi-risk assessments. Access to the CRA toolbox, methodological guidance, and technical support is provided. 

The CLIMAAX consortium is thrilled to announce the initiation of the first Open Call for regions and communities. This call aims to identify regions and communities keen on implementing the CLIMAAX methodological framework and utilising the supporting Climate Risk Assessment toolbox for conducting comprehensive multi-risk assessments at regional and local levels. 

How to apply

Interested parties are encouraged to submit their applications by the deadline of 8 March 2024 at 17:00 Brussels Time.

About the CLIMAAX project

CLIMAte risk and vulnerability Assessment framework and toolboX (CLIMAAX) is a four-year Horizon Europe project that will provide financial and practical support to improve regional climate and emergency risk management plans.

The consortium consists of a combination of climate risk assessment and emergency response experts, regional authorities responsible for risk management, regional and national Civil Protection Agencies, and small and medium-sized enterprises. CLIMAAX will help local and regional authorities and communities gain a deeper understanding of the climate risks they are exposed to, and empower them to take action, assist communities in evaluating their past experience and progress in assessing climate change risks.
